The Optilab EDFA-I-B Erbium-Doped Fiber Amplifier (EDFA) is a high gain, inline amplifier for the research and development of optical networks. By using a dual amplifier design, EDFA-I-B provides optical gain of up to 40 dB while maintaining low noise figure (NF). EDFA-I-B is a versatile amplifier that can be used for very a range of input levels. Depending on the pump laser configuration, EDFA-I-B amplifier produces optical output levels from +18 dBm to +25 dBm with an input power level range from -15 dBm to +5 dBm. Product Overview

The Optilab EDFA-L-I-R is a general purpose line of L-band Erbium-Doped Fiber Amplifiers designed for in-line amplification of single or multiple DWDM channel signals. The Inline EDFA is typically used as an intermediate point in the network to increase the DWDM channel power levels. The Inline EDFA is able to amplify input signals as low as -20 dBm per channel. The EDFA-L-I-R incorporates 980 nm pump lasers and 1480 nm lasers. Housed inside a standard 1U rack mount case, the EDFA-L-I-R has an easy to use control interface and clear LCD display. The Optilab EDFA-L-M-R is a general purpose line of L-band Erbium-Doped Fiber Amplifiers designed for inline amplification of single or multiple DWDM signals.

Product Overview

The Optilab EDFA-L-M-R is a general purpose line of L-band Erbium-Doped Fiber Amplifiers designed for inline amplification of single or multiple DWDM signals. The Inline EDFA is typically used as an intermediate point in the network to increase the DWDM channel power levels. The Inline EDFA is able to amplify input signals as low as -20 dBm per channel, and incorporates 980 nm pump lasers and 1480 nm lasers. When the EDFA is used to amplify multi-channel DWDM signals, the output power level of various channels will vary according to the gain profile of the erbium fiber, and the gain variation can be as great as 7 dB in magnitude. The Gain Flattened EDFA-L-M-R has unique features of a dual-stage amplification and an internal Gain Flattening Filter (GFF) to compensate for the erbium fiber gain variation. This design enables the EDFA-L-M-R to reduce the gain variation to ±0.75 dB over its full operating wavelength range of the amplifier. Housed inside a standard 1U rack mount case, the EDFA-L-M-R has an easy to use control interface and clear LCD display.
